ACL Lifestyle LP241-soaked. How to replace it

by Ni Neu » Sun Sep 06, 2009 11:07 am

1 year ago a friend of mine came home and due to a leak that came from splashing a lot of water from the shower, the central heating/hot water controller ACL Lifestyle LP241 became SOAKED and now I cannot use the programs.
Fortunately I can manually switch ON/OFF the system using the mains switch.
I know that I need to buy a new programmer but I wonder whether it be possible for me to replace it myself.
I fear damaging the "base plate" in case I have one.
My house is 11 years old and the model is said to have this "base plate" meaning that is a sort of "scart" conexion.
The problem is that I find difficult to pull it out with just my hands, so I would thank you for advice on what tools/method to do this without incurring in more damage than the benefit being sought after.
If the answer is Get Someone In, who could it be: electrician or plumber?
