Advice on Rawl Plug into Brick Through Plasterboard

Post by monkey3 » Sat Apr 28, 2018 9:20 pm

Hi

First post couldnt find anything searching but maybe too specific.

Looking for a quick reminder about putting rawl plugs in brickwork through the plasterboard.

From bad memory....drill hole (got sds drills) through plasterboard and into brickwork.

Screw into plug a small way. Push and hammer plug into brickwork (guessing thermolite as new build). Remove screw, place object up to wall and tighten screw fully.

Right or wrong? Any help welcome

Thanks.

Basically correct, just make sure the plugs and screws are long enough to hold in the brick.
