Advice on Strengthening Fence on Wall Please?

by Doerupper2 » Fri Mar 15, 2019 8:29 am

This is my first post here..

We have a 6ft wooden fence down the side of the house between us and the neighbours which is ours. About a third of the fence by the house is sat on a retaining wall which is basically the difference in ground levels of about 2.5ft as we live on a hill. The other 2 thirds has wooden posts concreted in and is solid but the section on the wall is fixed by 'met post' brackets which have come loose and are basically not fit for purpose in this situation and the fence is now starting to lean and flex on the walled section.
Both us and the neighbours have side passages between the fence and the house and neither of us really want to loose any of this access to bracing or supports.
The best solution I can think of is to get the longest concrete spur posts possible and cut them in flush to the face of the wall, concrete them in at the base and bolt them to the posts if that makes sense?

Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks for reading.
