I am trying to help my mother in law to design a new kitchen for her son to fit.
Due to size and space limitations she wanted to have two double base units along one wall with access to the corners via two central doors.Then to have a 1 1/2 bowl sink installed centrally over the two units.Is this a realistic option?

Generally yes but you will loose both drawers in front of the sink and the abutting base unit ends will need chopping about a bit to give clearance for the sink.
