Angled radiator valves

by greengrass » Thu Oct 20, 2011 8:33 pm

What is a fair price £'s that a " Gas safe" engineer would charge to change 8 angled radiator valves with new bog standard on/off chromed body with white plastic turn knobs (Not the thermostat type). And views on "Call out charges" as the ones I've telephoned have varied from reasonable to exorbitant + any work carried out. Pensioner

greengrass,
There are so many ifs - if the old valves can be removed, if the existing pipework is long enough, if the system can be drained and refilled ....... the list is endless.
Anyone who is prepared to price such a job over the phone and to stick to the price needs help and will need to be very lucky.
