Applying Salt Neutraliser after re-pointing

by Brian123 » Fri May 30, 2008 10:51 am

Dear all,

I recently cleaned the front of my house with brick cleaner and afterwards there was a noticable white dusty covering over the bricks.

From this forum, I think that this is due to Efflorescence and have bought some Salt Neutraliser.

My question is : yesterday I had the brickwork re-pointed, do I have to wait a certain length of time before applying the Salt Neutraliser ?

The builder said that I should not use a weathershield type product for at least 3 months, but was not sure on this product.

Many thanks in advance for any help.
