Attaching Heaters to Plasterboard Walls So They Don't Come off?

by MELLEE3 » Mon Oct 20, 2014 11:15 pm

Hello, I keep lizards and have just had a new 9'x4'x7' enclosure made for my iguana. She needs two heaters fitting before the winter sets in. There's no electrics involved just attaching them to the walls. The issue is the walls are plasterboard and when I've put stuff up before its come loose really quick because the plasterboard gives way. I would mount them on the outer wall but I don't think it would take the heat as it is wood. What is the safest way to do this considering it probably won't just be the weight of the heater it may also have to take the weight of the iguana as she likes to sit on the safety cages first thing in the morning to get warm. Any advice would be much appreciated.
