Avoiding lintels when putting up blinds

Post by Kas » Sat Sep 09, 2023 4:47 pm

Hope someone can shed some light - I've got a 1930s standard brick house with reinforced concrete lintels above the windows. I want to know how big the lintel is likely to be, so I can avoid it (I'm putting a blind up).

Hi kas,
The lintels are likely to be the full depth of the window reveal and possibly 4-6” vertically depending on the opening.
It would be best to fix into the window frames.
