Hello - I have some nice looking Bakelite handles that I would like to use. Some of them are drooping so I guess there is a broken spring. Unlike modern door handles there is no circlip to remove. See attached picture. Is it possible to disassemble this mechanism, put in a new spring and put it back together without breaking the Bakelite. Would be very grateful if someone can provide the steps required. Thanks.
