Thanks for reading. We are buying a 1920s detached house - 4 bed, 2 recep. The house is in decent condition but needs full interior refurb which we want to do before we move in (we are renting). We are in early stages of the purchase and wanting to know what to budget for...
- rewiring incl. a few new lighting points
- new boiler with underfloor heating plumbing to kitchen
- knock through internal structural wall to enlarge kitchen
- add a downstairs WC+shower to new kitchen footprint
- restore old larder attached to kitchen - now an outdoors loo, want to bring back as part of kitchen
- strip out & fit new kitchen (budget estimate 15k for new kitchen incl appliances)
- strip out wallpaper & carpets through house - replaster if needed + paint + sort out floors e.g. engineered wood over floorboards
-strip out bathroom & fit new one
- loft boarding
