Barn Floor Foundations

by mabradford » Wed Jul 07, 2010 4:38 pm

Hi I am currently converting a barn and would like to know what kind of foundations should I put in. I am looking for an idea on how deep they should be and made up of what. I would like to dig them out myself to save money and need to know how deep they should be and what should be in the foundations to comply with build regs.

Hi

You need some professional help the building inspector will insist on a set of structural drawing, loading calcs and a SAPS report (insulation, u-values ect......).

Sorry to say you have to spend some dollar.

Bye.
