Bathroom Project and Damaged Plasterboard After Removing Tiles

by Nonsi » Sun Jan 05, 2020 8:35 pm

Hi Guys

I'm new to this forum, but I have a feeling I'll be on here alot! I have purchased my first flat and am trying to renovate to a fairly decent standard for me to live in and possibly rent/sell in the future. I am trying to take some some jobs on myself to save me labour costs, whilst removing the tiles the plasterboard seems fairly damaged so I just wanted some advice on what i should do with the wall, step by step process highlighting the steps that a fairly hands on DIY person in the family could help me with and what I should leave to the professionals! I've moved back home whilst the bathroom project is underway and quite honestly cost is an issue but I'm happy to pay to save me lots of time too!

Please see attached photos, I will be fitting a bath with screen, hanging toilet/back to wall toilet and hanging basin unit. Any advice on what I need to look for would be great as I will order and buy everything online myself.

Many Thanks
Sin
