I am about to start installing a new kitchen & need to bring the wall units out by approximately 60mm. I will be screwing battens to the wall so I can attach 4 units to them (each unit is 500mm wide). To provide the best stability for the units, is is best to have a single batten for all 4 units or have separate battens for each unit?

Seems 1 single batt top and bottom would be easier?

makes more sense to just use the one. if you use many single pieces you've got the job of making sure that they are all level and flush with eachother. a single piece and you only have to level it once.

For base units , install 2"x1" battern to the correct level and hight around the walls where base units will be fitted. On each unit cut out on both sides of each unit the battern dimension. Push unit against wall and screw unit legs until it hits the battern. This is the best way to install kitchen base units
