Hi, I increased the temperature on the Salus handset today to make sure ready for the colder weather. Heating not coming on radiators. The Salus thermostat's top light is flashing red light. There is no error message on the boiler. Had no problem last time heating used earlier in the year. What should I do?
Hi lfg Most likely cause is that the impeller on the central heating pump has seized. Locate the pump, undo the centre screw plug and use a screwdriver to rotate the impeller shaft to free it. Water will come out around the impeller but it will be a limited amount, have a towel ready underneath the pump. Regards S
Hi lfg, Yes it could be the thermostat but the pump is more likely. Some wireless thermostats loose their link with the base if there is a power cut. You could try pressing the reset button on the remote stat but read the instructions as to how to link to the base. Regards S
