Bay Window Wall Damp With Paint Bubbling and Discolouring

by Harrydin » Thu Mar 26, 2020 12:45 pm

Good afternoon chaps,

This is my first time posting, I have an issue with some damp maybe. I'm new to the DIY game and recently I had my room plastered and painted.

I have a patch of wall where the ceiling if the bay window and adjoining wall have started to bubble and discolor after a few months of paining it.

I don't know what's causing it or how I can get rid off it. Any help would be golden.

Did you work it out? I found a similar issue caused by my bay window guttering leaking - bay window guttering has a lot of sections and bends to a recipe for leaking.

It was resolved by my roofer who connected new guttering.

A good way to test it is use a garden hose on the bay roof when it is not raining.
