I need to take a few mm off the edge of a new side gate that keeps swelling up in the damp and wet weather and jamming the gate. I have already used my 50 yr old b&d with a circular rubber backed attachment a couple of times but it makes so much mess. Would one of the cheap palm sanders or orbital sanders be up to this work or are they only for smoothing down. There are so many on the market it hard to know if they are any good despite all the reviews. What other options are there? Any advice from someone with more knowledge would be welcome.
