Better Heating Control

by willsie01 » Tue Sep 29, 2020 4:53 pm

We've lived in our house for 33 years and it has expanded through multi extensions. So has the CH but it is still only one heating zone, which post the latest expansion is extremely difficult to manage as far as getting reasonable temperatures in the living rooms and bedrooms. Most rads have TRV's but I haven't can't find a reasonable position to locate the thermostat as a starting point. Changed circumstances has brought forward retirement plans meaning selling up and downsizing so I don't want to replace the whole shebang which I suspect is probably the best solution. How can I improve control of the existing layout short of total replacement?

Look at the eQ-3 TRV heads, two options standard around £10 with bluetooth around £15 but you can only pair bluetooth to one phone.

I find that having deg C rather than *123456 makes it far better, and being programmable you can select which room heats first.
