bleeding radiators

by wilko » Mon Aug 04, 2008 1:45 pm

I've got 3 rads upstairs, when I try to bleed them only a small amount of air comes out then nothing. I've tried draining the system at a drain valve at the lowest point in the system, however water is only slowly dribbling out. I would guess that I've got a blockage somewhere, question is what is the best thing to do. Could this be linked to my other thread where my bathroom rad used to get warm with only the hot water system turned on, now it gets very hot.

Is that the the central heating turned OFF ?

Possibly a problem with the ballvalve - but more than likely a blockage in the cold feed, this supplies water to the heating system.
