Bonding plywood to concrete floor

by Scoie » Thu Mar 12, 2009 5:11 pm

Hi, im going to tile my kitchen floor and half of it is floorboards while the other half is solid concrete. Obviously i will have to put down plywood first and screw it to the floorboards but what can i use to bond the plywood to the concrete? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Scoie,
Bonding ply to concrete is unlikely to be successful.

Don't bother trying to get the ply to stick to concrete. Run 6mm ply across floor boards and then stop at concrete edge, seal along edge to stop self leveller from escaping and pour mixture would be best to prep concrete first to take self levelling mixture with a pva mixture.
