Bouncy Laminate Floor after installation

by okank » Sun Aug 28, 2022 9:41 am

Hi - we have realised after a day our laminated floor installation, it is bouncy on the edges. See video below. this is the worst one. It is like this in all edges.

What could be the reason and how could it be fixed?(if needed). We want to have some idea before we talk to the contractor.

Condition of the subfloor seems fine to me but attaching that one as well. Radiator was removed before installation.

Hi okank,
The issue is that your floor is not flat. The laminate manufacturer will have specified the tolerances their laminate + underlay can accommodate. Your installer should have checked this and probably screened the floor with self levelling compound.
