Broken Flusher and in Isolation

by Confused730 » Thu Mar 19, 2020 5:20 pm

Hello, living stereotype with no plumbing experience here. The push flush of the toliet has broken and landlords won't send out anyone to fix it while the house is in isolation, so was hoping someone could try and tell me what to try.

The button is stuck down and is consistently on a weak flush that won't clear the post office. I've tried lifting up the lid of the tank but that hasn't worked, and I can't see anything underneath to unlodge it.

Any help is appreciated

Hi Confused730,
There are may different types of flush around these days.
If you were able to lift the lid off completely you will see a central column with lever(s) around it. Try wiggling the levers and see if that helps.
If you could not remove the lid you will need to unscrew the outer ring of the push button, lift off the lid and do the wiggle thing.
Good luck.
