Broken Rad

I've damaged my inlet pipe to living room rad, the elbow joint is leaking

How can I stop the leak, until either myself or the local plumber fixes the leak, and will it require a new joint or is fixable?

The only way to staop the leak is to drain the system, replacing is probably the best option.
