Broken shower temperature control

by Percysavage » Mon Feb 28, 2022 6:55 pm

Hi,

Some cretin has forced my shower heating control in the past (breaking the 38 degree safety catch in the process) and so the control doesn't match up to the correct position on the spindle. If I remove the control knob I can now only move the brass spindle through a quarter turn between 10 (very, very hot) and 2 (just very hot) on a clock face.

Images below showing where the spindle can move based on a red pen mark on the spindle (added by the plumber originally I presume) against an equiavlent mark on the plastic casing. Any ideas?!

Thanks,

Percy
