Can bathroom sink pipework be moved across a few inches

This isn't DIY but didn't know where else to post.

Having bathroom completely redone and sink repositioned onto opposite wall which slopes on the left. I asked the plumber to position the plumbing so it isn't directly under the slope so as to not bang our heads, but he hasn't, and has just refashioned the pipework from where the bath used to be (directly under the slope). So if the sink is installed there, we will bang our heads when standing at it.

I wasn't there when he finished his 1st fix, and the tiler has already drywalled over it, with tiling starting tomorrow, so pipework inside the wall can no longer be changed (and doing so would be very disruptive). Is it possible for the plumber when doing 2nd fix to simply extend the pipework over a few inches (around 3-4), so that the sink is no longer under the slope? I don't mind about exposed pipework because I can just box it in or add an under sink cabinet (the sink is wall hung). Can anyone advise as to whether this is doable and pretty common practise? Or will I now be cursed with banging my head every time I wash my hands.
