Can I Remove Eaves Stud Wall in Loft Room? Information, help and tips on many areas of roofing including trusses, tiling, venting, insulation etc....

Hi. I'm new here so be gentle! Our tiny 1830s terraced house has apparently had a room in the loft since it was built. The footprint of the room is actually quite large but it's 2 thirds eaves (1 each side) and a flat ceiling in the middle. There are small vertical stud walls about 3 feet in from where the roof meets the floor in the eaves which uses up space. Can I remove this wall or is there a for a reason? Thanks all.

The walls are probably there to support the centre span of the rafters. You need a structural surveyor to advise before you remove them.
