Hello. I need to cover a lot of black-painted walls and ceiling (it's vinyl silk I think but some might be eggshell) before repainting in a lighter colour. Am assuming that it'll need a couple of layers of undercoat, however I've already got a large quantity of white matt emulsion, and wondering whether that might do the job as an alternative to undercoat? Anything I should be wary of with that idea?!
