I have hired a Makita DJR186 reciprocating saw for the weekend to cut up some wood.
I managed to get the first blade in ok and made a few cuts but then I managed to bend the blade. I got the blade out ok but the saw snapped back into the locked position and now I can’t get a new blade in. I have no idea how to unlock the saw. It didn’t come with an instruction manual but I did manage to find it online (before I started using the saw). They don’t cover this situation though and I haven’t been able to find anything else online suggesting how I can unlock it. Can anyone help?
