Can't see the DPC level

by denvysb » Sat Mar 18, 2023 3:47 pm

Hello all. First time posting but have been visiting the site for years.

I'm embarking on a patio project to fill the empty gap in the front little bay of a terraced house. I want to make sure it finishes 15cm below the DPC line but for the life of me can't find where the DPC line is.

I've dug out sections of soil but all I find below is some sort of stone foundation. The property was built in the 1920's and has a cavity wall.

Does anybody know where the DPC line would be on this type of house?

Hi denvysb,
I looks like an extra layer of bricks have been added to the original building. Suggest yo do not go any higher than the bottom of the stone slabs.
Regards S
