We're installing new doors throughout the house and are really struggling to find what we need when it comes to new door handles.

The issue we're having is that our cats have now figured out how to use door handles and open doors. This was a novelty at first but now we're finding it impossible to keep them in any particular room of the house.

We're looking for door handles with locks that can be both locked and unlocked from either side, acting more as a child lock than a privacy lock. We don't want to lock people out of rooms, we just want to make sure the cats can't pull down on the handle to let themselves in or out of spaces and for us to be able to activate or de-activate the lock from either side. Could anyone reccommend a handle that would work?

Buy lever type euro lock handles and fit double ended thumb turn euro cylinders. Or buy handles with round knobs.

If you are fitting doors with egg box centres buy handles with one fixing bolt top and bottom which pass fight through the door.
