ceiling light fitting

by lamps » Sat Dec 13, 2008 3:17 pm

I am seeking to fit a new light on the ceiling. I have removed the old one but have found that the leads are somewhat short to enable me to feed the wires into the new fitting. The light is on the ceiling of a ground floor room so I am unable to access the mains lead unless I take apart the floor above to give me some slack. Is there any other means to apply this fitting?

Have a look at http://www.hager.co.uk/images/products/ ... JB_190.png and see what you think never used one but these are accepted where no access for maintenance is available. You may also be able to use crimps but the cost of ratchet crimp pliers for a one off job seems a little high.
