Hi,
I'm looking to replace a ceiling light. (If it's relevant, the wiring was made 2 way with the connection between the switches directly between them.) One of the ceiling connections is what you'd expect with 3 cables, each with 3 wires. In the other one, the neutral in the cable to the switch is not connected at either the switch or the ceiling connection. Although it probably wasn't originally the last light, there's now only one cable with 3 wires connecting to the rest of the circuit and the cable to the switch with a live and an earth . Does this sound like a problem?!
