can anyone help please.
My central heating system pump,a graundfoss seems to be running continiously.
Even when the system has timed out and off.
When the system is on we have heating and hot water as normal.
The header tank in the loft has warm water in it and recently was overflowing.
Is the pump seeing a leak in the tank coilor outer system or is it an electrical fault.

Your pump running continiously would indicate an electrical fault. If the pump is controlled fron the boiler it may be that the over run thermostat is faulty. It may be that the pump is being controlled via motorised valves auxillary contacts which may be faulty. Electrics should be checked.
Hot water in the expansion tank could be caused by simple expansion or the system is not piped correctly. Would recommend your system be checked over by competent engineer for both problems.
