chipboard flooring, does this need to be screwed or nailed?
i was going to nail it with a plaslode nail gun and 65mm ring nails,and can the end joints be spanned over a joist as my end joints do not land on a joist the boards are 22mm thick :? thanks in advance

All ends should be cut onto joists and although boards are mostly nailed with Ring shank nails (see our types of nails project) its a great idea to screw chipboard as it removes the likelyhood of squeaking later. See our creaking floors and stairs project.

That's great! Due to our kitchen floor being recently enlarged, we have wooden boards over most of it, but in othr, Victorian ceramic floor tiles, cement, and ;latex leve;lling compound.

We've now got some 12mm plyboard to put down. I see from above how to attach it to the existing boards, but what about th cement and screeded bits? Hammer drill and rawlplugs?
