CLEANING BRICKS ON KITCHEN FLOOR

by robbbyram » Wed Jul 25, 2007 3:07 pm

We have recently bought an old apartment which has original red bricks on the kitchen & bathroom floors. By the looks of the bricks they have never been properly cleaned. They are covered in grime as well as splashes of old paint.

The result we want is basically clean bricks with some kind of glossy finish that brings out the colour in the bricks - but is of course not slippy when wet.

I have read that a clean with sulfamic acid is a start - is this correct ?

Any advice is much appreciated
