Hi, I have a home built in 1918 that we moved into a few years ago and discovered lots of condensation in the loft. I thought it was the bitumen felt not allowing it to breathe but a friend pointed out that the rendering (done before we bought it) has blocked all the eaves so there is no ventilation up there. I've stuck a dehumidifier up there for the moment but looking for advice on how to address it.
Have someone remove part of the rendering or as my friend suggested have vents fitted in amongst the original red clay tiles? Are there vents that would match?
Any advice on what to do would be appreciated
