Connect 40mm Pipe to 110 Vertical for Replacing Bath With Shower Tray

by willst » Wed Feb 01, 2017 11:43 pm

Hi everyone,
I want to replace a bathtub with a shower tray, and want to put it at the lowest level as possible.
The current 40mm waste pipe of the bathtub is connected to the vertical 110mm pipe 5cm above the floor level (see picture).
I would like to connect a new pipe touching the floor slab, so I can put the shower tray 5cm lower (The floor slab is concrete, then I cannot break it).
The problem is that at floor level there is another connection and therefore they cannot be connected nicely with something like in the second picture.
I was thinking drilling in the 110 pipe and connecting the other one with some kind of epoxy resin? Would that be durable? Any other ideas?
Thanks

Try using CT1 to seal it
