I have an extractor fan with Live, Neutal and Earth. i want to connect it to a pull cord light switch. connecting to the light switch is earth and 2 red wires. one red wire goes to port called COM and the other goes to a port called 1A, i have an empty called 2A. please can someone advise what i need to do to connect the fan to the light switch? thank you

THERE IS NO NEUTRAL AT YOUR LIGHT SWITCH, ONLY A LIVE AND SWITCH LIVE.
A ALTERATION OF YOUR LIGHTING POINT IS REQUIRED AT THE LIGHT
FITTING TO CONNECT EXTRA CABLE FROM FAN UNIT.
THIS IS NOTIFIABLE WORK AS BATHROOM IS CLASSED AS A SPECIAL
LOCATION.
U NEED 2 GET A REGISTERED PART P ELECTRICIAN IN.

Hi, short answer is you can't!
the sw only has a permanent live in and a switched live out to light. no neutral.
so you have to run twin & earth to your light and connect to the same terminals as the lamp holder, also you must connect the earth in with the others in light fitting. as in a bathroom this is not legal DIY & if room has no window ie no natural light it should also have seperate local isolator sw. so light can be on while servicing 'dead' fan
