This is my first forum post and thank you in advance for any advice possible.
The pipework beneath our cloakroom washbasin is unsightly and the 40mm downpipe goes straight downwards to the floor - it's all visible and a mess. I am wanting to fit a new waste trap and route the 40mm downpipe behind the plasterboard wall and skirting board; with everything out of sight and nothing at floor level because we are having floor tiles fitted.
I have removed the concrete at the foot of the downpipe and found the back edge of the main soil pipe is flush with the skirting board and only 20mm or so under the floor level. It therefore won't allow the new downpipe to enter from above. What would be the best way to route the new 40mm downpipe into the main soil pipe? Can it enter from the side?
Thanks.
