Conservatory new installation Ask questions and find answers to many subjects relating to electrics and electrical work

Hi

I am in the process of building myself a conservatory. I am going to need the following in there;

2 lights
2 double sockets
Underfloor heating wired in (I will be fitting it in the screed)

i am going to get a couple of quote before getting the work done however I don’t want to get ripped off.

what should i look out for?
what rough price should i expect to pay for the above?

Hi Chr1sc,
to power skts, lights, & U-Floor heating I would want to run in a new circuit from Consumer unit rather than just picking up from existing socket nearby, so see who says that,
also look in yellow pages, ect. for a 'Trust Mark' registered firm, most who are Part P registered should have signed up to this government backed fair trading / insurence scheme which gives good guarentees if a problem arises, get a written detailed quote & make sure you mention to whoever you are thinking of using that you want 'Completion Certs' for work to go in your household records, & say building control are involved in work on conservatory. Any 'chancers' will run a mile!!!
