PVC conservatory pitched fancy ridge roof cover glazing caps capped at ends to section visible from ground. Section towards main building roof not visible so no caps fitted SHOULD they be on or is it just cosmetic.

Need to remove one glazing bar cap to access posible leak source, how without breaking it ?
Leak lower corner of fanlight junc of side & cross bar.
The other while on here is the best cleaning agent for PVC ?
Many thanks for reading and solutions

usually you have end caps on the bars which are fitted with 1 screw and a cover cap.
To remove the capping remove the end cap and with a flat screwdriver push the cap out of position from the aluminium bar,it comes out quite easy,But to refit it use a hammer and a block of wood to knock it back in place
