Hello all, I'm planing to build a small brick shed with a mono pitched roof, as I envision it its about as simple as it can get, but I want to ensure I do it right. I'm having trouble determining the appropriate way to put a roof on with a brick gable all the way up. I've seen the use of gable ladders to extend the roof a suitable distance, however these gable ladders appear to sit directly within the brick work. Is this correct/best practice? Is it acceptable to mortar against wood in this area? is a moisture barrier of some sort required here? Thanks for any guidance.
