costings

by stuartcmorrison » Tue May 08, 2007 11:22 pm

Hi, I've been refurbishing houses full time for 4 years now but I'm about to embark on my first self build, which I will project manage myself. I have a rough idea of my total build cost but would like to break it down in order to keep my budget in check. Internal fitting out, glazing and landscaping I am ok with because of my refurbishment experience but can anyone suggest where I might get information regarding costs for groundworks, foundations, service connections and brickwork.

Regards, Stuart.

The way I did it stuart was the same as the rest of the project. Price all of your materials Guestimate labour durations & cost. Get prices for Service connections. Make allowances for bad weather & hold ups.
Or get fixed prices for Groundwork, Blockwork (Shell),and first fix Timber.(Roof) Any help?
