Crack in wall where house joins conservatory

Post by Jenoof » Thu Oct 21, 2021 12:41 pm

Hi, we've moved into an old stone house that has a conservatory attached to it. Where the house joins the conservatory, there's a fairly substantial crack - at one point you can just about see daylight through it. The plan was to knock down and have an extension built however due to Brexit and Covid we've been priced out of this for the time being. What can we use, for now, to make the conservatory airtight? We can then revisit the extension plan at a later date. I can't attach a photo as apparently they're all too big!

Hi jenoof
Suggest you use expanding foam, once applied to the join it will expand outwards, let it set before you trim it off.
