Damp on New extension

by pennyblue » Wed Jan 07, 2009 6:41 pm

Brand new extension - All building regs followed and signed off. Very dry but cold spell - hasnt rained for at least 2 weeks. On one south facing wall we have 4 damp sections on the yet to painted plaster work. The damp patches are where the wall meets the ceiling - the worst section is anout 30cmx 10cm. It comes during the day but dries away overnight, then start to show by about midday the next day . No cracked or damaged tiles to be seen - building inspector gave one suggestion - Can anyone else suggest where is the damp coming from ?

Hi

Sounds like there is some insulation missing which is causing a cold spot.
