damp proof course

by tamonita » Mon Aug 10, 2009 4:22 pm

HHHeeeelllppppp, would love some advice as I live in an 1882 house and had a damp proof course (injection bullets!) about 25 yrs ago. noticed that the lounge smells of damp and iside cupboards that back the external wall there is a musty smell and damp spores inside. How far round the house does it need to be damp proofed, and as its a semi do I have to damp proof the adjoining walls. Also kind folk pls advise cheapest method as am skint and cant afford a builder, is it really possible I could do this myself?

Thank you for any help, cheers Sue

tamonita,
The DPC should have been injected in all walls from both sides including the party wall.
Put up with the problem until you can get someone in to inject the worst walls.
end
