Thinking of buying a bungalow built 1965.There are small damp patches in various rooms behind the skirting (dampmeter test). There is also polystyrene paper on the bedroom wall facing outside, to keep damp out I suspect. The place has been empty for quite a long time and the owner keeps the heating on.The outside guttering is not positioned correctly, and rainwater runs down the outside walls. The bedroom wall does not have any guttering as it faces the eaves. It does lack general maintenance/repair. What could the worst scenario be? Thanks.
