Do I Need to Prime the Plasterboard Ceiling?

by Claired61 » Sun Mar 29, 2020 10:56 am

I have recently removed old wallpaper from the bedroom ceiling. Underneath is painted plasterboard, which I have filled, sanded and cleaned ready to paint. Doing some reading, I have read I should also prime the surface. I have found some primer in my old stock (obviously not able to go and buy anything new!) Would it be suitable to prime the ceiling? It is b&q colours primer and undercoat multi surface interior walls (pic attached). I will be painting the ceiling white eventually , but the primer is grey. Will this cause an issue? Thanks in advance for advice!

Hi,
Blind in the repaired areas with some watered down emulsion, the apply your finished colour emulsion.
