Door and window coupler solutions

by Passionately_purple » Wed May 04, 2022 2:47 pm

Hi everyone, our new wall space for a door and window is only 1635 so we've been advised to have them adjoining as per the attached photo. The trouble is the existing window manufacturer doesn't do a door tall enough for the space. Can we get a door and a window from different manufacturers and still connect them together? Someone recommended an H coupler but where would I get this from? Thanks.

Hi passionately_purple,
You may have problems with the proposed arrangement because the door hinges are fixed to the window frame.
Hinge the door on the other side, screw the two frames together and use some upvc T section on both sides as a finisher.
Regards S
