Draught from Sash Windows

by ian999 » Wed Apr 01, 2009 10:41 am

Hi,

Wondering if anyone can help - I have some old victorian single glazed sash windows. The windows themselves are fine, its just that it lets in alot of draught.

Can anyone advise me on how to seal the draught on the cheap - without having to take the unit out. The window opens from the bottom and I would ideally like to still be able to open the windows.

I have thought of screwing in some plastic sheeting from the inside around the frame to totally seal the units. However this would stop me from gaining access to open the windows - any thoughts?

Thanks

install brushpile strip between the sash window. You can buy it on a roll and is easy to fit.
