Dripping Stop Clock

by Spod » Sun Jun 03, 2007 7:49 am

Hi,

I have a stop clock that is dripping from the spindle. Ideally, I do not want to replace it as it would involve removing an entire inbuilt kitchen unit (the previous owners didn't think of this) to remove it.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can stop it dripping?

Many Thanks

Rich.

if you look at the spindle, round the base of the spindle there'll be a nut. Undo the nut and pack with PTFE (thread tape) this is done by running the thread tape round the spindle in a clockwise direction (not too much just 4 -5 times) then replace the nut and tighten up, this will stop the leak.
